I had a collection of toy cars,
Gifted to me by shiny, bright stars.
Big and Small, Fast and Slow,
New and Old, Matte and Glow.
O Lord, Someone is stealing my toy cars away.
They helped me grow,
Made my childhood flow.
I thought they would always be with me,
In my every joy, happiness and glee.
O Lord, Someone is stealing my toy cars away.
When the first was stolen,
I was not woken.
When the second was taken,
I cried and wept and felt broken.
When the third was stolen,
I felt frozen.
Now when the fourth is gone,
I just weep and pray to end this aeon.
O Lord, Someone is stealing my toy cars away.
I remember playing with them,
I remember talking to them.
Now, I can’t find them anywhere,
I still wake up hoping it was a nightmare.
O Lord, Someone is Stealing my toy cars away.
I never knew this is the circle of life,
Even if someone says to me, I strife.
My presence is because of them,
Life without them is pseudonym.
O Lord, Someone is Stealing my toy cars away.
They prayed for me,
Today, they are a part of my prayers.
In their hug, I found peace,
The last time I saw them, they were at peace.
O Lord, Someone is Stealing my toy cars away.
Keep them safe wherever they are,
Share with them my happiness,
And hide my sorrow away.
O Lord, Someone is Stealing my toy cars away.
